Transitional Learning Center

I hope that everyone had a great spring break! The days seem to be going by fast and we are quickly approaching the end of the year. Since our last update, our class has been busy. There was the opportunity for the students to go on a field trip to the Fox Theater again. The students that went enjoyed the performance by "Buckets and Boards." They are a percussion comedy act that has shows in Branson, MO and was named the #1 show on the Disney Cruise Line. Students also had the opportunity to decorate eggs and had an egg scavenger hunt. The class has been working hard on their academics in their core subjects and we just finished a lesson in science on animals. Students used their observations to understand the basic needs of animals, explore how animals need things to eat and a safe place to live, and also how animals can change their environments to meet those needs. The next outing that the students will have the opportunity to participate in is the eclipse at the Cosmosphere.
