The second half of the school year seems to be flying by with all the weather and cancellations. Our class has definitely been excited about the warmer temps recently. Unfortunately, our last outing was cancelled due to the weather to the Fox Theater. We are scheduled to go the Fox Theater again in April. Our class continues to work hard on their individual math and ELA. We started a new unit in social studies about Community Economics. Here are some of the important things we will learn about: • How money and jobs affect people in a community • What it means to earn an income • Wants and Needs • Goods and Services • Natural Resources • Producers and Consumers • Supply and Demand • Making Choices to Spend or Save This unit will help us learn about the flow of goods, services, and money in a community.
